For inland Alaska customers, the company maintains an award-winning fleet of linehaul trucks and trailers that directly deliver bulk fuels and packaged petroleum products over the road. This fleet safely hauls more than 100 million gallons over 2 million miles annually.
In the past six years, Crowley has made significant investments in new linehaul equipment, including new Peterbilt sleeper and day cabs, local delivery trucks, and trailers, to safely and reliably support the changing and challenging fuel distribution needs of the state. The company recently opened a state-of-the-art maintenance facility in Palmer, Alaska, and also operates satellite maintenance facilities in Glennallen and Fairbanks.
The company has worked hard to incorporate advanced safety equipment and industry best practices into its fleet and program, excel in communication and compliance, and collect feedback to improve operations. These improvements are some of the key reasons Crowley was honored in 2017 with its fourth “Alaska Safe Truck Fleet of the Year” award by the Alaska Trucking Association and customer ConocoPhilips.
