UPDATE: El Salvador Border Strike 1/17/14
2014-01-17
Dear Valued Customer:
As an update to our previously published announcement, this is to confirm that yesterday the congress of El Salvador, passed an extension for the $18 surcharge for X Ray Inspection. Therefore, at this time the border strike is over and cargo containers have started to moved into and out of El Salvador.
Although the strike has ended, due to the high volume of traffic and congestion at multiple border locations, delays are expected. We appreciate your patience as the flow of cargo returns to normal. If the situation should change, we will provide the necessary update as more information becomes available.
