Rail Operations Update – Jacksonville
Significant congestion continues to impact cargo moving by rail through both the CSX and FEC Jacksonville terminals. While both rail yards are working tirelessly to resume normal operations, the backlog remains.
We are in regular contact with CSX and FEC to get updates and will continue to share relevant information with you as we receive it.
To ease some of the northbound congestion, we recently moved a limited number of critical containers via ocean aboard one of our flat deck barges from Port Everglades to Jacksonville. This “blue water highway” is one example of our commitment to keeping supply chains moving. We will continue to work with our operations and land transportation teams to consider additional alternatives.
If you have questions or would like to explore additional land or departure/entry point options for moving your cargo, please visit crowley.com/logistics/routes or contact our Customer Care Department at 1-800-CROWLEY.
