U.S. Rail Work Stoppage – Update
Crowley continues to monitor and evaluate potential impacts regarding a possible rail work stoppage on September 16th. In addition to current restrictions impacting hazardous materials, Norfolk Southern announced their plan to discontinue the acceptance of all Intermodal shipments effective at 12:00 (noon) Wednesday, September 14th. While this potential work stoppage impacts most rail providers in the U.S., each railroad is determining their operational plans individually and these may fluctuate as we approach the September 16th deadline.
Crowley will communicate any additional impacts or changes to service as they are announced by our rail providers. If you have any questions, please contact the Customer Care Department at 1-800-CROWLEY (1-800-276-9539).
