Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Shipments

New Electric Vehicles will be accepted for shipment. Previously owned or titled electric/hybrid vehicles must be inspected by a dealer, mechanic, or have a CARFAX report that will verify that the vehicle is in good working order. Dealer or inspection report will require verification that all recalls for the vehicle are up to date. The vehicle’s battery must have a state of charge no less than 30% and not greater that 50% to ensure stability of the battery’s chemistry. Inoperable, salvaged or damaged electric/hybrid vehicles will not be accepted.

All Electric/Hybrid Vehicles Shipments will be subject to a $500 Hazardous Charge (per vehicle) effective July 9, 2023.
