(Jacksonville, Fla.; July 27, 2005) – Crowley announced today that Tony Menendez will become director of business development for the company’s logistics services unit on Aug. 1. In his new position, the seven-year Crowley veteran will continue to be domiciled in Miami and will report to Miguel Artiga, vice president sales and marketing. He will also work closely with Leo Del Calvo, general manager of Crowley’s apparel transportation services.
“We are looking forward to having Tony on the logistics team,” Artiga said. “He is well known and respected in south Florida and has an outstanding track record with clients doing business in the region. His primary focus will be on assisting with our logistics sales activities in the South Florida market.”
For the past seven years, Menendez has served as a senior account executive for Crowley’s Latin America liner services unit. He brings more than 25 years of experience in transportation related sales to the logistics group.
