2016 Caribbean Interport Services Peak Season Surcharge

Crowley Caribbean Services announces a temporary Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) on its CARIBBEAN INTERPORT SERVICES to be effective 1st October, 2016 through January 1, 2017.

The surcharge will be applicable to all open tariff and service contract rates to/from/between Eastern Caribbean/Leeward/Windward/ABC/Panama/Costa Rica ports and will be assessed as follows:

$30.00 per container (any size or type).

Due to higher demand for liner transportation during this peak season time period, there are significant shortages of containers and restricted vessel space availability.

This surcharge will enable carriers to recover additional expenses from the increased costs of equipment repositioning, on hiring equipment, labor overtime and port congestion delays.
