Dwight Menard Promoted to Director of Risk Management for Crowley Maritime Corporation

(Jacksonville, Fla.: April 28, 2004) – Dwight Menard has been promoted to director of risk management for Crowley Maritime Corporation and will primarily be responsible for supporting the risk management and insurance requirements of the Crowley business groups domiciled in Jacksonville, Fla.

Menard will remain in Jacksonville and continue to report to James A. Juergens, Crowley’s vice president of risk management in Oakland, Calif.

Menard will expand his responsibilities beyond the claims administration function and will now be more closely involved with the corporations risk management group in Oakland and its legal team in Jacksonville, providing expert advice on contracts and operational issues.

Menard joined Crowley in 1987 as manager of claims in the company’s Jacksonville, risk management department, and over the years has taken on increasing responsibilities in support of risk management, insurance and claims administration for Crowley business groups.

Menard earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Louisiana Lafayette and attained a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) designation in 2001.
