Crowley Recieved Prestigious Toyota Logisitics Service Award for Excellence in Customer Service for Second Consecutive Year

(Jacksonville, Fla.; April 10, 2003) – Tom Crowley Jr., Chairman, President and CEO of Crowley Maritime Corporation, accepted Toyota Logistics Services’ prestigious Award of Excellence in Customer Service for 2002 on behalf of subsidiary Crowley Liner Services last week in Santa Barbara, Calif. It was the second consecutive year the company has received this recognition.

Don Esmond, group vice president and general manager, Toyota division, and Steve Sturm, vice president and general manager, Toyota logistics services, presented the award to Crowley during a dinner ceremony at which Toyota Logistics recognized their logistics partners, including ocean, truck and rail providers over the past year for extraordinary service.

Crowley transports Toyota vehicles between the United States and Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Central America. Toyota said Crowley excelled at damage prevention, on-time performance, quality and customer service to make the select list of award recipients.
