Crowley Receives Six Tranny Awards from the TMCA for Excellence in Corporate Communications
(Jacksonville, Fla.; May 12, 2004) – For the third consecutive year, Crowley has been recognized with several Tranny Awards from the Transportation Marketing and Communications Association (TMCA). The Tranny Awards Program recognizes best practices in marketing and communications in the transportation and passenger transit industries as well as individual practitioners who apply solid communications principles and creativity to effectively promote the goals of their organizations.
During the 52nd annual awards banquet in Indian Hills, Calif., Mark Miller, Crowley’s director of corporate communications, accepted two awards of excellence and four awards of merit on behalf of the company. The awards of excellence were presented for Crowley’s 2003 advertisements. The first ad was for liner services cargo security, featuring a picture of a porcupine and the headline: Crowley. The one company where protecting your cargo comes naturally. The second ad was for Crowley’s petroleum services for the commercial fishing industry in Alaska that featured a picture of a grizzly bear catching a salmon and the headline: Nothing tastes better than a wild fish. The Awards of Merit were received for the company’s One Crowley corporate branding program, the Alaska 50-year anniversary integrated communications campaign and two single advertisements – the Alaska 50th anniversary flight ad and Alaska 50th anniversary crane ad.
