Crowley Receives Prestigious Toyota Logistics Service Awards for Outstanding Customer Service and Quality for Fourth Consecutive Year
(Jacksonville, Fla.; April 7, 2005) – Toyota Logistics Services recently presented Crowley Liner Services with its prestigious Awards of Excellence in Customer Service and Quality for 2004. It was the fourth consecutive year the company has received such recognition from Toyota.
Bill Pennella, vice chairman and executive vice president of Crowley Maritime Corporation, and John Douglass, senior vice president and general manager of Crowley’s Puerto Rico and Caribbean liner services group, accepted the awards during a dinner ceremony in Scottsdale, Ariz., at which Toyota Logistics recognized all of its logistics partners, including ocean, truck and rail providers for extraordinary service over the past year.
During the awards ceremony, Allan DeCarr, Toyota Group vice president, expressed the company’s appreciation for all of Crowley’s outstanding efforts in 2004. Crowley is the exclusive carrier for Toyota vehicles between the United States and Puerto Rico.
