Crowley Receives Payless ShoeSource International Partnership Award
(Jacksonville, Fla., July 28, 2004) – Payless ShoeSource honored Crowley’s liner services group last week with its International Partnership Award for service excellence and longstanding mutually beneficial relationship.
Payless’ Michael Cress, international logistics manager, and Elisa McNorton, senior lead, international traffic, presented the award to Tom Crowley Jr., chairman, president and CEO of Crowley Maritime Corporation, at a reception held in Chicago July 21 to celebrate Crowley’s 50th year of service in Puerto Rico.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized for a job well done by a customer, and particularly by a company like Payless, which has such an excellent reputation and does such a great job in their own right,” Crowley said. “I’m pleased that we have been able to contribute to their success in several of their offshore markets.”
Crowley has been Payless primary ocean carrier to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands for more than 11 years.
