Crowley Promotes Susan Rodgers to Senior Vice President of Administration
(Jacksonville, Fla.; Jan. 12, 2005) – Susan Rodgers has been promoted to senior vice president of administration for Crowley Maritime Corporation and will continue to work out of the company’s Jacksonville office while reporting to Bill Pennella, Crowley’s vice chairman and executive vice president, in Oakland.
Rodgers, who previously served as vice president of human resources, will be responsible for information technology, purchasing and materials management, human resources, corporate communications, facilities management and corporate travel.
Rodgers began her career with Crowley 25 years ago in the human resources department of the company’s Puerto Rico liner services business, which was then known as Trailer Marine Transport (TMT). She has held positions at both the subsidiary and corporate levels, including director of human resources for Crowley’s liner services group and corporate vice president of human resources beginning in 1996. In 2000, management of the corporate communications and facilities management functions was added to her responsibilities.
Rodgers graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Nebraska with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and political science. She also earned a master’s degree from Florida State University in administration of higher education.
