Bob Rousseau Promoted to Vice President of Intermodal

(Jacksonville, Fla.; Oct. 22, 2007) – Crowley Maritime Corporation announced today that Robert (Bob) Rousseau has been promoted to vice president of intermodal, a newly created position in the company’s liner services segment. He will remain domiciled in Jacksonville and report to Rob Grune, vice president and general manager of Puerto Rico/Caribbean services, and John Hourihan, vice president and general manager of Latin America services.

Rousseau, a 31-year Crowley veteran, will oversee all inland transportation, including Crowley’s in-house trucking company, Crowley Trucking Inc., and all third-party trucking and rail partners. Intermodal was previously managed regionally through terminal operations, but will now be consolidated under Rousseau with enhanced focus and attention to this important customer service area.

“We want to continue to provide exceptional customer service while achieving certain operating efficiencies such as reducing empty miles and equipment dwell time,” Rousseau said. “We want to enhance what we already have working well and take advantage of long-term growth opportunities.”

Rousseau joined Crowley in 1976 as manager of trailer control and has held positions of increasing responsibility over the past 31 years, including manager of land operations in San Juan, Puerto Rico, division manager of equipment control, director of equipment operations, director of transportation and equipment and most recently director of materials management.
