To better serve customers with our new weekly, fixed-day, full and less-than-container-load (LCL) shipping and logistics services between Wilmington, N.C., and the Central America Northern Zone including: Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua, we have moved the vessel departure date to Wednesday. This means that the documentation cutoff has been adjusted from Monday at noon to Tuesday noon and cargo cutoff has been adjusted from 17:00 on Monday to 17:00 Tuesday.

This new schedule is designed to give customers an additional, more northwardly Atlantic Coast destination for cargo entering the U.S. from Central America, allowing it to skip time-consuming transits by rail to the south as indicated by the chart below, thus adding velocity to the supply chain while reducing total landed costs.

In addition to ocean transportation utilizing Crowley’s full complement of 40-foot refrigerated and dry containers and specialized 45’ x 102” dry containers, Wilmington also benefits from the company’s suite of third-party logistics services including: shipment coordination, freight forwarding, import/export documentation, last-mile delivery, cargo insurance and customs brokerage services for cargo of all types and sizes.
