2015-07-20

For the second quarter 2015, the CASS Index, which is being used to monitor and evaluate U.S. Inland rates, reflected an average of 124.0 for Truckload and 128.7 for Intermodal (rail). Compared to the established baseline of 121.3 for Truckload and 129.7 for Intermodal (rail), the Truckload Index increased by 2.23% and the Intermodal (rail) decreased by 0.77%. Therefore, effective 8/17/2015, we will be increasing our tariff and contract all motor rates by 2.23%. Please note that the South Florida Drayage will not be affected at this time. The Intermodal (rail) rates will not change since the second quarter average against the baseline was less than +/- 2%. The indexes can be found here: CASS Indexes.

For the third quarter review, the baseline index for Truckload will change to 124.0 and the Intermodal (rail) will stay at 129.7. The next review period is set for October 2015. You can view the requirements and Index history here
