Notice to Virgin Island and Eastern Caribbean Customers

2006-10-17

EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 30, 2006
In order to maintain the new schedule for the Virgin and Eastern Caribbean Islands Service and to be in compliance with all Federal Regulations, documents for cargo loading on these vessels must be received in Freight Services by the close of business day prior to the vessel working. All documents should include proof of filing the shippers export declaration with Census (ITN number) for AESDirect Customers, or the invoice with the value if Crowley Logistics completes the AES filing.

Please note the following:
– Document cutoff for cargo loading on the vessel, which works in Jacksonville on Tuesday and departs early Wednesday morning, will be the close of business day on Monday.

– Document cutoff for cargo loading on the vessel, which works in Port Everglades on Thursday, will be the close of business on Wednesday.

– Failure to submit documents by the cutoff could result in the cargo not being loaded on the scheduled vessel.

This new procedure will enable us to maximize stowage capacity as well as allow the vessels to be worked without delay to maintain the schedule integrity. We appreciate and value your business.
