Notice to the trade – Enhancements for Puerto Rico Customers
Crowley is pleased to announce the following enhancements for the Customers in Puerto Rico. Effective April 2nd, 2007, Customer Service and Documentation for Puerto Rico will be processed by the Freight Services Team in Jacksonville, Florida.
Customers in Puerto Rico will be able to reach a Customer Service Representative by calling1-800-CROWLEY (1-800-276-9539, press option #1, then option #5) or sending an e-mail to PR.SERVICES@CROWLEY.COM.
Effective April 2nd, 2007 documents for cargo departing from Puerto Rico to the United States, Virgin or Caribbean Islands should be sent to the Puerto Rico Services Team in Jacksonville, prior to equipment being delivered to the San Juan Terminal. A copy of the bill of lading should also be turned in with the load at the Terminal. Documents can be submitted on-line through e-Freight Manager at www.Crowley.com, fax (904-727-4292) or e-mailed to PR.SERVICES@CROWLEY.COM. All bookings for cargo departing from Puerto Rico will continue to be made through the Booking Department at the Crowley Office in San Juan.
Utilizing Crowleys e-Freight Management System enables you to create documents from templates and send or receive documents electronically. The efficiencies of electronic transmissions will enable you to receive completed documents without delay. System alerts can also be sent up to enable Shippers and Consignees to receive e-mail notifications as the status of the load changes or generate various reports. If you would like to make use of the on-line services offered by Crowley and have not registered, you can do so by going to WWW.CROWLEY.COM, Liner Services, e-Freight Management and complete the registration information. You will receive a login, password and instructions for using these services within 48 hours. If you need assistance using the on-line services a Crowley Representative will be available to provide support.
The following employees have been selected from the Freight Services Team in Jacksonville to provide Documentation and Customer Service assistance to the customers in Puerto Rico; Claudia Cruz, Jeanette Saucedo, Mara Alvarez and Nora Hoyler. Teresia Gonzalez will supervise this Team and will to report to Deena LeBlanc, Manager, Freight Services for the Caribbean Division.
