Crowley and Puerto Rico Teamsters Union Local 901 Reach Agreement on New Three-Year Labor Contract
(SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO; May 16, 2000) Crowley Liner Services, Inc., and Puerto Rico Teamsters Union Local 901 have reached agreement on a new three-year labor contract covering union employees working at Crowleys San Juan terminal. The new contract is effective from March 27th, 2000 through March 26th, 2003.
Collective bargaining agreement committee members for both Crowley and the Teamsters reached an agreement on the contract last Thursday, and the union membership unanimously ratified the contract the next day.

This new agreement helps ensure the continued stability of the companys workforce in San Juan, as well as the continuity and quality of Crowleys services between Puerto Rico and the U.S. mainland.
The union has enjoyed a positive working relationship with Crowley in Puerto Rico for more than 30 years, said Noel Colon, President of the Puerto Rico Teamsters Union and spokesman for the unions collective bargaining agreement committee. This new contract ensures the continuation of this relationship.
Crowley has operated in Puerto Rico since 1954, and during that time has developed a strong and lasting relationship with the Puerto Rico community and its union team members. The company employs nearly 400 people on the island, including members of Teamsters Local 901 who perform terminal operations and stevedoring services at Crowleys San Juan terminal.
