Tropical Storm Grace – Update 3 & 4
UPDATE 4 (8/15/2021)
With Tropical Storm Grace now moving to the south of Puerto Rico and the USVI, the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) has lifted all port restrictions, clearing them for vessel traffic. Likewise, our San Juan terminal will open at 0700 tomorrow, Monday (August 16), for normal business hours.
AFFECTED VESSELS:
- El Coquí will arrive in San Juan tomorrow, Monday (August 16), at 0900 with cargo operations commencing at 1000.
- KStorm is working today, Sunday (August 15), in Rio Haina and will depart for Port-au-Prince at 1800. Her clearance into Haiti is dependent upon local authorities reopening the port.
- Pegasus J is en route to Port Everglades and will commence operations upon arrival Monday morning (August 16 at 0400)
Currently, there are no other interruptions or closures. We remain prepared to amend our shoreside and marine operations, should it become necessary to ensure the safety of personnel, vessels, and your cargo.

UPDATE 3 (8/14/2021)
We are actively monitoring Tropical Storm Grace as she travels through the Caribbean. The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) has indicated that they will set port condition Zulu in Puerto Rico and the USVI Sunday, closing the port to all incoming and outgoing vessel traffic.
While El Coquí continues to safely transit towards San Juan for her Monday (August 16) arrival, she will remain a safe distance from the storm until USCG clears the port for reopening. At this time, the reopening is anticipated to be mid-day Monday. The Crowley operations team will also assess the company’s shoreside facilities on Monday and will reopen once deemed safe to do so.
