Puerto Rico Documentation Cut-Off Policy

In order to comply with all government agency requirements, including the 24-hour rule for documentation (Carta Circular de Rentas Internas Núm. 14-05), established by the Puerto Rico Department of Treasury “Departamento de Hacienda,” Crowley will be strictly enforcing its Shipping Instructions Cut-Off time of 4:00 p.m. on the day prior to sailing. Effective April 23, 2018, any cargo that has not met this documentation deadline will not load for its scheduled sailing.
The following information must be submitted to CaribbeanDoc@Crowley.com by the 4:00 p.m (day before sailing) deadline:

Bill of Lading Parties Information: Address & contact information for the Shipper, the Consignee, the Responsible Bill to Party and the Notify Party. As well as, the Consignee Merchant Registration Number and Federal ID Number (or Social Security for personal owned vehicles).

Cargo Details: Container & Seal numbers, Commodity Description, Harmonized Code(s), Value, Weight, Piece Count(s), and Hazardous information, if applicable. For Vehicles, include the complete VIN#, Year, Make, Model, Color and copy of the Title or Bill of Sale.

Electronic Export Information (EEI): ITN or Exemption clause.

If Crowley is filling the EEI on your behalf, a letter of authorization (LOA) is required. This should include the Employer Identification Number (EIN) of the Shipper. In addition, a copy of the Commercial Invoice that contains the Commodity Description, Value, Harmonized Codes, Pieces, Packages and Weight. For vehicles, a copy of the Title or Bill of Sale should also be included.
