Inland Cost Monitoring – December 2020
For the third quarter of 2020, the CASS Index, which is being used to monitor and evaluate U.S. Inland rates reflected an average of 131.78 for Truckload. As a result, tariff and contract motor rates will remain unchanged on December 1st. The CASS Indexes can be found here.
For the same period, the Department of Energy’s retail on-highway diesel prices all types index monthly average, which is being used to determine the Intermodal Fuel Charge, was $2.426. Therefore, the Intermodal Fuel Percentage will remain at 16%. The requirements and index history are available here.
The next quarterly review is set January 2021, after which any necessary adjustments will be made on March 1, 2021.
