Hurricane Florence Impacts Update #4
To Our Crowley Partners,
In the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, our thoughts and prayers are with those affected throughout the Carolinas and Virginia.
As we work to safely reestablish our operations, we’d like to update you on the following ports and facilities experiencing closings or alternate operating hours due to the storm’s impact.
Port of Wilmington

The Port of Wilmington remains closed until at least Thursday, September 20.

An initial assessment by Port management and authorities revealed no significant visible damage. Further assessment is ongoing.
Rail Update:
CSX advised they will be routing traffic over Atlanta while they perform repairs on the lines north of Charleston. They are experiencing crew shortages, with delays in transit likely for both Northbound and Southbound traffic.
Charlotte, North Carolina

CSX Charlotte will allow ingating of cargo effective 0600 tomorrow, Tuesday September 18.
The following road closures may affect our ability to move cargo with trucks in and around the Carolinas:
South Carolina

I-95 remains closed between exits 181 and 190
North Carolina

I-95 is closed from NC 42 (north of Fayetteville) to US 64
-
I-40 Closed in both directions from Warsaw Exit to US 117
