Hurricane Beryl – Weather Update #1

2018-07-06

Crowley’s corporate crisis management team is monitoring Hurricane Beryl and taking appropriate steps to ensure the safety of Crowley personnel, including vessel crews, assets, and your cargo, that may be in the storm’s path.

According to the latest weather projection by StormGeo, Beryl is expected to still be a hurricane when the center of the storm reaches the Lesser Antilles over the weekend and then crosses the island chain late Sunday or Monday.  As of Friday, maximum sustained winds have increased to near 80 mph with higher gusts.

While we have not yet experienced any impact on our operations, there may be interruptions to vessel operations including in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands and the Leeward Islands.  As we continue monitoring the storm, we will both update you accordingly and post changes to our sailing schedule online which we encourage you to visit at Crowley.com
