High Security Seals in Port Everglades and Gulfport – Effective Immediately
2016-01-27
Please be advised that we have changed the requirements for the placement of high security seals on export containers arriving at our Port Everglades, Fla., and Gulfport, Miss., terminals. Effective immediately:
-
All containers must possess, on the right-hand door, one high security seal and have one place available for an additional seal.
-
A Crowley seal will not need to be applied if a high security seal already exists on the container when it arrives at the terminal.
-
A Crowley seal will be applied if the container does not have a high security seal.
-
The gate pass must list the high security seal first and include all seals that are on the container.
These new requirements are necessary to be more in alignment with certain foreign terminal regulations, and apply to all international destinations that originate from Port Everglades and Gulfport. Your compliance in this matter will help minimize potential delays in delivering your cargo, and reduce costs associated with applying unnecessary seals.
While our ultimate goal is to provide you with a smoother export process at the terminal, we do understand and apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause in the near term. If you have additional questions, please contact your sales representative, or the Crowley customer care team at 1-800-CROWLEY.
