Equipment Repositioning Charge
2015-01-19
Crowley announces that an Equipment Repositioning Charge of $1500 per container will be effective February 1
On a SB shipment, if a shipper performs their own inland transportation and returns a loaded container to a terminal, container yard or rail ramp other than the one where the empty container was originally picked up, a $1500 equipment repositioning charge will apply.
On a NB shipment, if a shipper performs their own inland transportation and returns an empty container to a terminal, container yard or rail ramp other than the one where the loaded container was originally picked up, a $1500 equipment repositioning charge will apply, unless carrier has provided prior written agreement to allow the empty to be returned elsewhere.
The Equipment Repositioning Charge will be applicable to all open tariff and service contract rates where Shipper performs inland transportation.
