Crowley Monitoring Hurricane IAN – Update 5
We are actively monitoring several disturbances in the Atlantic including Hurricane IAN and its potential to impact our operations and this week’s sailings in the Caribbean, Central America, and Florida. We are prepared to amend our shoreside and marine operations, should it become necessary to ensure the safety of personnel, vessels, and your cargo.
TERMINALS
Due to Hurricane Ian’s impending landfall in Florida, we are taking weather avoidance actions with our fleet and following USCG and regulatory agency mandates which include a changes to our operating schedule and vessel arrivals.
- Jacksonville is at port condition Zulu today at 1200 Wednesday (Sept. 28). All vessel activity and gates are closed. Upon USCG tentative assessment and clearance, we plan to have extended Gate Hours Monday (Oct. 3) from 0600-1900 and Tuesday (Oct. 4) from 0600-1700.
- Port Everglades remains at port condition Yankee. All vessel activity remains closed, pending updated port condition. We will resume terminal operations Thursday (Sept. 29) opening at 0800. There is a backlog of vessels awaiting entry, so customers should expect delays after the port reopens.
- Wilmington expects to continue with normal operations.
