CROWLEY CARIBBEAN SERVICES LLC
USVI Low Sulfur Fuel Charge

Dear Valued Customer,

Crowley would like to bring to your attention new regulations which require all vessels within 50 nautical miles from the USVI to use low sulfur fuels at considerably higher costs than traditional fuel. The first phase of the regulation became enforceable in January 2014 and additional phases are scheduled for 2015 and 2016.
Even though Crowley has been complying with the new regulation, we determined it was best to delay cost recovery until we fully understood the impact on our bunker fuel cost.

As a result, a Low Sulfur Fuel Charge will be implemented effective April 27th, 2014. This new charge will be applicable on all shipments from the US and Puerto Rico to and from the USVI consisting of St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John. The Low Sulfur Fuel Charge will apply on all open tariff shipments and contract customers.

Effective: April 27th, 2014

Applicable on all Northbound and Southbound shipments.
20’ Equipment (all types): $ 15.00
40’ Equipment (all types): $ 30.00
45’ Equipment (all types): $ 35.00
Vehicles not exceeding 650 cubic feet $15
Heavy Equipment / Trucks / Vans / SUVs $30
