Cargo Delivery Disruptions in Honduras Following Election Protests #3

2017-12-18

Crowley continues to monitor the situation in Central America resulting from political protests following the declaration of a winner in Honduras’ presidential election.

Safety is Crowley’s No. 1 core value, and as such we are taking all appropriate steps to ensure the safety of personnel, all of our vessels, facilities and your cargo.

At this time, the port is open, however, ongoing protests and road closures have forced us to close all offices and only the Puerto Cortes terminal remains open. The protests and road closures are also hindering cargo movement by limiting road access. Today, December 18, we are not moving any cargo.  We are coordinating with appropriate authorities and will resume delivering cargo to our customers once it is safe to do so within Honduras, and between Honduras and other countries throughout Central America and Mexico.  If you would like to discuss additional security and escort options for your cargo please contact your local office.

If you have any questions, please contact your sales representative or the Customer Care Department at 1-800-CROWLEY.
