Weather Bulletin #5 Hurricane Sandy Puerto Rico schedule update

Dear Valued Customer:

As of 0800 EDT, Hurricane Sandy is located 85 miles northeast of Nassau, Bahamas.  Movement is currently northwest at 10 mph with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph with gusts to 105 mph.  At the current movement, Sandy is forecast to move east of Cape Hatteras early Monday. Then, the storm will interact with a non-tropical area of low pressure over the eastern United States that will turn the storm to the northwest.  The storm is expected to make landfall between New York City and Delaware Bay by early to mid next week. Due to the projected path of Hurricane Sandy, Crowley is providing the following port terminal and voyage updates:

Port Everglades
Terminal update: The port was shut down last night due to high winds but is now open at condition Modified Yankee.  
Voyage updates:
K-Breeze – NZV2108S – will depart Port Everglades on Friday (10/26) at 2400
Pavo J – NZV2109S – will depart Port Everglades on Saturday (10/27) at 2200
Ocean – ISL2043S – will depart Port Everglades on Thursday (10/26) at 1800
Dover Strait – SZV2043S – will depart Port Everglades on (10/27) at 1700
Tucana J – DOM2087S – will depart Port Everglades on (10/29) at 1900
Delphinus – NZV2110S – will depart Port Everglades on (10/30) at 0200

San Juan, Puerto Rico
Terminal update: The San Juan terminal is currently open
Jacksonville Port:
Terminal update:  The Jacksonville terminal is currently under a Tropical Storm watch.

Terminal update: Pennsauken port is currently open and currently at condition Whiskey, which means gale force winds could develop within 72 hours. However, all vessels in the path of the Hurricane have taken safe harbor or have been rerouted until the system passes.
