Sears Names Crowley a Partner in Progress for Fourth Consecutive Year
(Jacksonville, Fla.; July 14, 2006) – Crowley Maritime Corporation’s Puerto Rico/Caribbean liner services group has been named a Sears Partner in Progress for a fourth consecutive year. The 2005 award recognizes Crowley’s quality ocean cargo transportation services provided to Sears between the U.S. mainland, Puerto Rico, Central America and the Caribbean.
The prestigious Partner in Progress awards are presented annually to a select group of supplier companies that have provided Sears, Roebuck and Co. with quality products and services, from apparel, appliances and tools to marketing, transportation services and technology. More than 10,000 sources competed for this award in 2005.
Rob Grune, senior vice president and general manager, along with Jorge Estevez, vice president of sales and marketing, and John Kelley, area sales manager, accepted the award on Crowley’s behalf during a recent event held at Sears Holdings Corporation’s headquarters in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
