Weather Bulletin #2/Tropical Storm Sandy

Dear Valued Customer:
As of 0311 EDT, Tropical Storm Sandy is located 140 miles south of Jamaica. Movement is currently north at 14 mph with maximum sustained winds of 65 mph and wind gusts up to 80 mph. At the current movement, Sandy is forecast to move over Jamaica this afternoon as a weak category 1 hurricane. Then, a north to northeast motion is forecast.
Due to the projected path of Tropical Storm Sandy, Crowley is providing the following port terminal and voyage updates:
Rio Haina, Dominican Republic/Port Au Prince, Haiti
Terminal update – Both terminals are currently open and closely monitoring the storm.
Voyage update:
DOM2085N – The Tucana J is expected to work in Rio Haina today (10/24). No further delays are expected however if conditions change we will provide further updates.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Terminal update – The San Juan terminal is currently open
Voyage update:
Miami SAL2128S – to protect safety and cargo integrity, the Tuesday Miami sailing will be held in Jacksonville until conditions are favorable for a safe departure
San Juan SAL2129S– to protect safety and cargo integrity, the Thursday San Juan sailing will be held in Jacksonville until conditions are favorable for a safe departure
El Rey SAL2130S – the Saturday arrival and departure are to be determined
Nassau, Bahamas
Terminal update: The terminal will be open today (10/24) from 8am to 8pm. The terminal will be closed Thursday (10/25) and Friday (10/26).
Voyage update: No voyages are affected at this time.
