Update – U.S. Detention and Demurrage Billing Changes Effective January 1, 2015

As a reminder, Crowley Liner Services has entered into an agreement with Carrier Credit Services, Inc. (CCS) to manage the billing and collections of demurrage, detention and energy charges incurred in the U.S. effective January 1, 2015. CCS is providing their expertise and resources to better manage this activity in the future.
Beginning January 1, 2015, CCS will prepare all bills and payments should be made directly to CCS at the remittance address below.

Any bills that originated prior to January 1, 2015 with Crowley letterhead should be paid to Crowley and remitted as per instructions on the bill.
Also note that effective Sunday, March 1st, 2015, the following updated Free time and Charges thereafter will be applied for US Import and Export Detention and Demurrage:
US IMPORT AND EXPORT DEMURRAGE
Demurrage charges are applied for storage of laden containers while in Crowley’s care in a port, inland depot or container yard. Demurrage is applied after the designated free time listed below.

US IMPORT AND EXPORT DETENTION
Detention charges are applicable when a customer does their own trucking and are applied for the holding of containers while in our customers’ care outside a port, inland depot or container yard. Detention charges are also applicable at customer pool locations where Crowley performs the trucking. Detention is applied after the designated free time listed below.
