Puerto Rico Security Charge Increase – Effective June 26, 2011
Puerto Rico Security Charge Increase
To Our Valued Customers,
Due to the continued escalation of security costs associated with Crowley’s terminals and vessels over the past several years, Crowley is implementing a Security Charge increase effective June 26, 2011.
The increased costs are associated with improvements required by C-TPAT and Homeland Security. An example of government mandated requirements include container security, infrastructure improvement, procedural security, security training, IT security, physical security, personnel security and security assessment and response improvements.
