Inland Cost Monitoring

For March 2022, the CASS Index, which is used to monitor and evaluate U.S. Inland rates reflected an average of 163.40. As a result, inland rates will increase by 3.42% on June 01, 2022.

Due to the volatility of fuel prices, Crowley has temporarily amended our inland fuel surcharge review process. Instead of a monthly review of intermodal fuel prices, we will review prices on a bi-weekly basis.

The Department of Energy’s retail on-highway diesel prices all types index weekly average for the first two weeks of April, which is being used to determine the Intermodal Fuel Charge, was $5.109. Therefore, the Intermodal Fuel Percentage will adjust to 50% on June 01, 2022.
