Guatemala Export Weight Restrictions

Please be advised that effective immediately the port of Santo Tomas de Castillo, GT will be implementing new procedures on all export containers including refrigerated containers. All containers will now be taken to the scale to confirm weight upon entry.

If the cargo should be overweight according to the weight restrictions outlined below the load will be transferred to another piece of equipment or transferred onto a 3-axle chassis. To avoid any delays or fines associated with these new procedures please monitor all loads and follow the new regulations.

All new requirements are based on the governmental agreement 379-2010. Below please find maximum weights allowed for over the road for loads.

Deseamos informarles que efectivo inmediatamente han empezado a ejecutar un plan piloto en cuanto al ingreso a puerto Santo Tomas de Castilla, GT de todos los contenedores de exportación incluyendo los contenedores refrigerados. Van a empezar a pesar las unidads.

Si detectan equipos que tengan sobrepeso deberán de trasegarse a otro equipo ó intercambiar a chasis de 3 ejes. Por lo tanto agradecemos tomar en consideración esta alerta y estar pendientes con sus embarques de exportación y no poner en riesgo su carga.

Hacemos de su conocimiento que en base al acuerdo gubernativo 379-2010.Los pesos máximos permitidos de circulación de carga en carretera son:
