Crowley Logistics Consolidating its South Florida Offices and Distribution Centers into One New, Larger Location

(MIAMI, Fla.; July 27, 2004) Crowley Logistics is consolidating its south Florida operations along with the offices and warehouses of its Speed Cargo and Apparel Transportation subsidiaries into a new facility located at 9950 N.W. 17th Street; Miami, Fla., 33172.
The new distribution center, which encompasses over 148,000 square feet, has 50 loading doors, palletized cargo racking and hanging apparel space along with cold storage for refrigerated cargo. Crowley began moving in over the weekend in advance of the leases effective date of August 1.
The consolidation of our three offices and distribution centers into this one state-of-the-art facility will allow us to better serve our customers from a central, convenient location, said John Hourihan, senior vice president and general manager of Crowleys logistics group. It definitely establishes a footprint in the south Florida area for all of our warehousing, distribution and cargo handling services.
Apparel Transportation provides air, ocean and inland transportation services to apparel and textile customers throughout the United States, Central America and Asia. Services offered include freight consolidation, air and ocean container loading, warehousing and distribution, pick and pack, freight forwarding and customs brokerage and clearance. Apparel Transportation also provides airfreight services for customers using a fleet of more than 200 specialized garment-on-hanger (GOH) aircraft containers.
Speed Cargo provides specialized transportation to and from Central America, South America and the Caribbean providing air, ocean and inland transportation services. The company also offers freight consolidation, documentation, warehousing and distribution.
