Crowley Announces New Less-Than-Trailer/Container Load Service to Haiti

(JACKSONVILLE, Fla; May 3, 2007) Crowley Maritime Corporations logistics segment announced today the addition of a Less-than-Trailer/Container (LTL/LCL) service between the U.S. and Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Beginning with the May 30th sailing, shippers may send freight to Haiti by way of Crowleys Miami warehouse where it will be consolidated before making the trip to Port-Au-Prince.
This new service will be offered southbound twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays over Port Everglades, Fla., and will offer a five-day transit to Haiti by way of Rio Haina, Dominican Republic. Northbound services are also available with a schedule dependent upon demand.
Enmarcolda S.A. will serve as Crowleys local agent in Port-au-Prince. Jean-Charles Rousseau will supervise the deconsolidation of Crowleys loads upon arrival in the country along with associated reporting while Wood Paul will work directly with the local consignees to ensure proper routing once cargo is received. In Haiti, loads are held in a bonded warehouse until pick-up. This warehouse is located at: Haiti Terminal, S.A.; Boulevard de la Saline; Port-au-Prince, Haiti HT 6110.
