Dear Valued Customer,

Arawak Port Development LTD (APD) recently announced the new port tariff (“Port Fees and Other Charges”) for the Arawak Cay terminal. Arawak Port Development’s new charges are being implemented in two upcoming phases.  The first phase will be effective March 1st .  Due to the increased operating costs associated with the March 1st port tariff implementation, Crowley Caribbean Services announces the following new charge which will be effective March 4,2012.  This charge will apply to open tariff and contract shipments for both northbound and southbound cargo.

Nassau Port Charge
20FT equipment:  $150 per unit
40FT equipment:  $300 per unit
45FT equipment:  $350 per unit
Vehicles:  $150 per unit

The second upcoming phase of the port tariff will be implemented April 1st.  Crowley is presently evaluating the impact of the April 1st increase to the trade and will be communicating this information in the very near future regarding the financial impact.

In addition, developments regarding the Inland Container Terminal on Gladstone Road will be relayed once available.

Crowley sincerely appreciates your business and anticipates your concerns associated with increased costs.  Crowley has been impacted by the challenging market conditions and increased operating costs over the past several months and is forced to pass along the increased costs associated with handling cargo at the new terminal at Arawak Cay.
