Honduras Port Charge

2013-12-06

To Our Valued Customers,

We wish to advise the trade that we will be implementing a new Honduran Terminal Charge (HTC), which will be effective January 5th, 2014. This new charge is being implemented in order to recover increased costs due to changes in the operation of the port and increased terminal charges, resulting from the turnover of all port operations at Puerto Cortes to a private terminal operator– Operadora Portuaria Centroamericana, S.A. De C.V. ( OPC).

Honduras Terminal Charge (HTC) effective 1/5/2014

Applicable on all open tariff and contract rates Northbound and Southbound originating or transiting via Puerto Cortes, Honduras.  The charge will also apply on cargo in transit to/from Nicaragua and El Salvador via Puerto Cortes, Honduras.
