(Jacksonville, FL May 5, 2000) Crowley Maritime Corporation (CMC) has appointed Nancy Ritter Vice President of Information Technology. She replaces Bob Mohler, who retired from that position.
In her new position, Ritter is responsible for all aspects of the corporations information technology services. This includes areas such as telephone and data communications systems, satellite data systems, vendor relations, strategic planning, applications development, and mainframe, mid-tier and desktop computer systems.
Ritter is domiciled in Oakland, California, and reports to Tom Crowley Jr., Chairman, President and CEO of Crowley Maritime Corporation.
“Nancy brings a wealth of experience to this position, and will remain a valuable resource as the corporation continues to make advances in the Information Technology arena,” said Crowley.
Ritter joined Crowley in December 1993 as a Project Leader. Since that time she has held positions as Manger of Application Systems; Director of Application Infrastructure, and, most recently as Director of Technology Management.
Prior to joining Crowley, Ritter worked for 10 years with Electronic Data Systems Corp (EDS). With EDS she held positions of increasing responsibility including Systems Engineer, Systems Analyst, Quality Assurance Manager, Project Manager and Account Executive.
Ms. Ritter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of San Francisco.
