John Calvin Promoted to Crowley Vice President and Controller
(JACKSONVILLE, Fla.; Sept. 19, 2000) John Calvin has been promoted to Vice President and Controller for Crowley Maritime Corporation (CMC), and will continue to work out of the companys Jacksonville office while reporting to Bill Pennella, CMC Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President, in Oakland.
In his new position, Calvin will be responsible for the planning, accounting and financial reporting functions for the corporation.
Since joining Crowley more then 12 years ago, Calvin has held positions of increasing responsibility with the Crowleys Jacksonville-based liner subsidiary, Crowley Liner Services, including Vice President, Caribbean Islands Services; Controller, and Director of Management Reporting and Strategic Planning. He most recently served as Director of Corporate Finance for CMC.
Calvin has more than 17 years experience in financial/management reporting, budgeting and strategic planning and analysis. In addition, he holds a BBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of North Florida.
