Crowley Recognized by the Dana Corporation as an Outstanding Supplier
(Jacksonville, Fla.; Sept. 10, 1999) – Crowley, the leading ocean carrier between the United States and East Coast of South America, was recently recognized by Dana Corporation as one of its outstanding suppliers for 1998 at a conference held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Dana, one of the largest automobile parts manufacturers in the world with operations in 32 countries, selected Crowley because of its ability to meet and exceed Dana’s delivery, quality and price requirements. Dana also recognized Crowley for its impeccable customer service and close working relationship.
Crowley handles imports and exports of differentials, axles, frames, drive shafts, castings and other parts and materials for four of Dana’s 21 factories in Brazil.
The award was presented by Lucio Pires, director of marketing for Dana; Maria Aparecida, Dana purchasing supervisor, and Vicente Motta, director of ceiling products of Mercosul, to Michael da Silva, Crowley vice president, South America. Hugo Ferreira, president of Dana South America, was also on hand for the ceremony.
