Crowley Liner Services Promotes Cosgrove to Director, Vessel Operations

(JACKSONVILLE, Fla.; Sept. 27, 2000) Crowley Liner Services – Puerto Rico/Caribbean has promoted Cole Cosgrove to Director, Vessel Operations. Cosgrove is domiciled in Jacksonville and reports to Jerry Farnell, General Manager, Marine Operations and Traffic.

In his new position, Cosgrove oversees vessel operations for Crowleys tug and barge services between Philadelphia, Jacksonville and San Juan, as well as container vessel operations for the companys Eastern Caribbean, Virgin Islands and Bahamas services. Cosgrove also provides program direction for government vessel operations and ship management bidding, implementation and liaison, as well as development and implementation of marine personnel training and compliance with U.S. Coast Guard and International Safety Standards.

Since joining Crowley in 1987, Cosgrove has served as Port Captain, Senior Port Captain, and in positions of increasing responsibility in Chartering and Vessel Operations, most recently as Manager of Vessel Operations and Crewing.

He holds a degree in Marine Transportation /Nautical Science from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point and an unlimited Masters License.
