Crowley Receives Containerisation International magazine’s Investment in People Award for 2005

(April 2006)–Containerisation International magazine recently recognized Crowley with its annual Investment in People award. Pete Noyer, Crowley’s Northeast area sales manager, accepted the award on behalf of the company at a gala dinner in New York City attended by about 500 people in the maritime industry. Crowley was selected for the award over two other finalists – Evergreen Marine Corp. and Maersk/Maersk Logistics. Crowley won the award for demonstrating a commitment to training and raising standards within the industry. The judges noted that “Crowley continued to develop its strong emphasis on practical training, with job shadowing and cross-training efforts gaining momentum.” Judges were impressed with “the clear skills evaluation and links to performance for the individual.”
