Crowley Streamlines Company-Wide Customs Brokerage Services
All Services Now Offered from One Company Office in Miami
(MIAMI; October 17, 2011) – Crowley Maritime Corp. announced today that it has streamlined the Customs brokerage services of Crowley and its subsidiary Customized Brokers Inc. Both teams will now operate together from a joint office in Miami under the direction of Customized Brokers’ Nelly Yunta, vice president. This consolidation allows Crowley to offer more comprehensive logistics packages to customers while strengthening the company’s total capabilities. Customized Brokers, established in 1989, is Crowley’s Customs brokerage company in Miami, Fla.
From this single office, Customized Brokers and Crowley’s logistics team will continue to offer their traditional services that customers have come to rely on. Customized Brokers has built a reputation on consulting and clearance services, with a specialty in handling perishable and refrigerated products, such as produce. Crowley’s logistics team excels in Customs brokerage services for dry and non-perishable goods, such as apparel. Previously these specialties were offered from separate locations.
“Together Crowley and Customized Brokers are now an even more comprehensive one-stop shop for international trade customers,” said Crowley’s Steve Collar, senior vice president, logistics. “By offering company-wide compliance, clearance and consulting services through a single team of experienced logistics professionals, we can better meet the varied needs of our customers.”
As a result of these changes, Chris Bustamante, manager, customs compliance and consulting, will now report to Yunta and will continue to reside in Miami.
