Crowley’s Liner and Logistics Groups are Regular Recipients of Logistics Management Magazine’s “Best of the Best” Quality Awards among Ocean Carriers and Third-Party Logistics Providers
Crowley’s liner and logistics groups are regular recipients of Logistics Management magazine’s “Best of the Best” quality awards among ocean carriers and third-party logistics providers. The latest award, determined through an extensive survey of 6,000 magazine readers who have responsibility for buying transportation and third-party services, was achieved by the company’s liner services unit in 2010.
The Quest for Quality survey measures performance indicators such as on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service and equipment, operations order fulfillment, inventory management and logistics information systems.
“This award is a terrific example of companies that put up consistently high numbers in each of the categories—a sure sign that its customers have been quite satisfied with its service,” said Logistics Management in its August issue. The survey and subsequent awards are regarded as some of the most important measures of customer satisfaction and performance excellence, among those in the transportation and logistics industry.
“We’re honored once again to be recognized by our customers and by Logistics Management magazine as one of the leading ocean carriers and third party logistics companies in the world,” said Tom Crowley Jr., chairman, president and CEO. “This acknowledgment is a reflection of our outstanding employees, who work hard, innovate, and always try to find a way to exceed customers’ expectations.”
