As you may know, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CPB) agency recently unveiled its revised enforcement strategy as it relates to Importer Security Filings (ISF). The new strategy, which provides a standardized approach, will permit CPB HQ to conduct analysis into non-compliant ISF filings with the intent to conduct focused outreach.

*Reminder: We encourage exporters to file documentation for all International shipments by the requested documentation deadlines to avoid penalties.

US Customs will begin to enforce the penalties of $5,000.00 against importers who is not reporting the ISF to US Customs 24 hours before the container is loaded on the vessel.

Recordatorio: A partir de Julio 9 2013, la aduana norteamericana aplicará la penalidad de $5,000.00 por cada ISF que se no se presente 24 horas antes que el contenedor sea cargado al barco.
