PUERTO RICO PROJECTS - ABB, GENERAL ELECTRIC AND BECHTEL

Crowley has been providing transportation and logistical services to Puerto Rico from the US Gulf and the US East Coast on a continuous basis for the last decade. Crowley have moved project cargoes for customers such as ABB, General Electric, Bechtel and Enron. The ABB project involved heavy lift lightering from a deep-draft vessel, moving transformers to a shallow draft dock location, and working with the heavy lift contractor to transfer the components to wheeled vehicles. In 1998, Crowley transported two fully erected container cranes from the port of Philadelphia to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
