Floating Storage Offload CONSTRUCTION, MOBILIZATION, INSTALLATION - VENEZUELA

Crowley participated in the conception of a Floating Storage Offload (FSO) barge for the Pedernales field in Venezuela that was installed and commissioned in 1998. Crowley Marine Services, Inc. entered into an agreement to provide BP Venezuela a production storage solution in this remote location. Crowleys scope of work was to fabricate and install a shallow draft storage, metering and offloading unit for the La Pinta Phase II project. Crowley not only provided the equipment but also managed the shipyard modification and conversion, mobilization, and installation in the field.
